Sharp, funny, with a sprinkle of royal romance, ‘Coming To America (1988)’ is pure comedy gold. In what many describe as Eddie Murphy’s funniest performance, the film follows Prince Akeem on his journey from his African homeland across the world to a snow filled New York in search of his Queen. Supported by his royal servant (Arsenio Hall), Prince Akeem is determined to find his soulmate so he takes on the undercover life of a New Yorker to hilarious effect.
